I started this blog when I first went on an exchange to Brisbane, Australia. During that experience, I discovered my love for culture, travelling and adventures. This blog has followed me since and been my forum for pictures and stories from Tanzania, South Africa, Ireland, Fiji, Malaysia, Singapore, Europe etc.

FRASER ISLAND 3rd TIME

Publicerad 2012-11-27 21:45:35 i Allmänt,

Fraser Island was just as amazing as usually. Except that the two lakes that are ormaly crystal blue were sort of more green or brown. I guess as a result of last week's storm that hit Queensland. It is still paradise.
Beach driving!
John in Lake Wabby
Homies. Johnnys last trip!
Pretty good waking up in the morning when it looks like this...
Dingo
Morning yoga on the car
Me and John in Eli Creek
Just a little jelly fish... :S
Indian heads
Beach driving...
Johnny and Ciaran working on their tan...
Dingo visiting the campsite.

Well...I can let the pics go on forever. There is just so much to see on this beautiful island. But that's a little taste of it at least!

HAIL STORM

Publicerad 2012-11-18 11:15:18 i Allmänt,

"Mr Hall said the biggest hail stones reported to date were 9 centimetres in diameter around Boonah, though Mt Coot-tha, Bardon and Toowong pelted with stones up to the size of tennis-balls." /BNE times

YEP. Just came back from a 30min run with Cooper when the sky just went dark. Sitting on the balcony with Johnny and his friends, we could watch the dark grey clouds move closer and closer and all light just disapeared, although it was only 5pm. While all other dogs in the area went nuts, little Coop happily chased the hail balls that sprayed us on the balcony, eating them. Candles blew out, washing blew away, we got drained (although being under the roof) and lightning strikes where pretty intense!

The storm actually started already yday and, but I was up on the sunshine coast and didn't notice anything. However when coming back to bris, there were fallen trees all over the place. Even one of the massive fig trees in Davie's park had fallen (think like 6m diameter). Crazy stuff!

Here are some other pictures from Brisbane Times taken by residents around my area:

The worst seems to be over now though so hopefully it will be safe getting back onto the bike tomw morning!

Woot woot! Tack till mina snälla päron som fyllt på mitt kalles randiga, läkerol saltlakrits och Swebar förråd för ytterligare några månader. Nu äro jag en lycklig människa!

HALLOWEEN 2012

Publicerad 2012-11-05 13:04:00 i Allmänt,

Have once again attended one of LG's famous halloween parties. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera this time but at least got a photo before heading over.
I got a few comments on how I could ruin such a nice dress with fake blood (long white dress). As it was Johnnys's old bed sheet I was wearing as a dress, I have now decided that if I would ever get married, I'll get married in some cheap IKEA bed sheets.

Other than attending halloween parties, I have once again been puppy sitting Coop all weekend as Johnny did a triathlon up in Noosa. Love my weekends with Coop=) Took a few runs, swim in the pool and watched a movie.
